A lift can mean the vehicle has stronger springs and so flex won't increase, other springs with greater/higher set but not so weight holding may increase it a little. Ive been on various Facebook pages of different makes and models, and the Isuzu 4WD pages seems to have very, very little issues overall. $5500 for a head gasket seems insanely expensive; you can get a second hand motor for that. This lowers the likelihood of shock fade meaning that you maintain handling response and therefore safety, no matter where you drive your D-Max - all thanks to your Supashock lift kit. Touch wood, no issues for me in that regard so far. The Hilux is also a good vehicle, and as long as you keep on top of the injectors they are a great motor. These are also damaged easily by anyone working in the engine bay with a number of people saying during battery changes, or even if someone just leans on it the pipe will crack and leak your gas out. There are some design flaws, and manufacturing flaws on these from the factory, like there is for every single vehicle out there. Turbo has gone Apparently there was a batch of ring and pinion gears that were made with poor hardening properties, and the gears essentially chop out and become a pile of metal shavings in the bottom of your differential. EDIT this has stopped leaking, is still full and will be monitored. The new model is different in many ways, and Im sure will have its own set of problems.
